It's that time of year again! Time to enroll for next semester's classes! As someone who is already enrolled I get to enroll for the next semester about 3 weeks before the rest of the universe. Here are the classes I have left to take for my certificate:
ITE130: Introduction to Internet Services (seems oddly easy???)
ITE170: Multimedia Software
ITN100: Introduction to Telecommunications
ITD210: Web Design II
Woooo... So far I've enrolled in ITE130 & ITD210. I'm thinking about adding an 8- week version of ITN100 as well (pending it doesn't require any special software). ITE170 requires access to Dreamweaver, Fireworks & Flash so I'm thinking about taking that in- person. There's no way I'm paying for all that shit. I'm sure my Financial Aid won't cover it all, either.
As for this semester.... It's going alright. I use a WAMPSEVER for my PHP in my Web Scripting Languages class & it never worked properly. Apparently my PHP was perrrfecto but I didn't know because the damn sever wouldn't work! >:O
*sigh*
Right now I'm actually prograstinating on a 4- question assignment on Ajax & a chapter titled Java Web Software...
As for Java, my father- in- law who is a programmer (with no knowledge of Java himself) has been helping me for a few weeks. I'm still about a week and a half behind but I'm slowly catching up.
Andy (have I mentioned him? He's my husband ♥) had found me a tutor at his uni so I emailed him. Turns out he wanted like $50 to do my homework for me. No thanks. I'm not really concerned with learning Java per se but I need to have enough knowledge on my own to pass the damn tests! *sigh*
My Web Design I class is easy as always. For some reason we're spending the next 2 weeks on frames. (Last night I completed the assignment that is due the 15th ;)
& that's all for now! As usual, asking for anyone to help me with Java if you have time or energy! ;)
Hey Gen! Sounds like things are moving along school wise. What cert are you getting? I was interested in getting a Web Development one but I would have to take simple classes I already know so it kinda turned me off, lol. Sucks about the PHP being perfect & it still not work. I would have been super frustrated.
ReplyDeleteMy cert is called Web Design & Development: Career Studies Certificate. I think it's supposed to prepare you for some CiW Certification thingy.
ReplyDeleteYeah I have to take an intro to the internet class which is really lame. I get all financial aid grants so I don't have to pay for anything as long as my grades are good so I'm plugging along anyways! ;)
Yeah the php was a bummer. & I missed all the chat sessions with my professor because of work :( UGH!
