The semester is finally over! I can rejoice! Here is my final project for my Web Design II class, if you're interested.
I have to say, I don't actually have much to say! Still trying to figure out what's going on with my Financial Aid for the 2011- 2012 semester. I only have 1 more class left to take for my Web Design Certificate. I think I want to throw in an Advanced Grammar class as well. I am "dual enrolled" as a Liberal Arts major and my Certificate so it would work under financial aid. I have to admit, the reason I am interested in the grammar class is because I love to write and I believe true writers are born with the ability to write; no "creative writing" classes are necessary. I feel like those are either "throw away" classes for people looking to kill time or for those with minimal talent looking for some kind of praise. Someone who was born with the ability to tell a good tale (or write non- fiction in a way that makes it interesting) really only needs to take grammar classes once they've passed through lower- level education (in the US we call it elementary school, junior high or middle school and high school) because a good writer has an excellent grasp on the technical side of writing. Have you ever read Harry Potter? I'm sure you have (if you haven't, you have no business knowing me) but have you noticed not only what a fantastical imagination Rowling has but also what excellent grasp she has on the technical side of writing? Her ability to maneuver sentence structures around and make even "boring" dialogue interesting is a result of this excellent grasp on grammar.
So, with that little tirade, I am off to look to see if the class I want to take is offered this fall. If not, then I suppose I'll have to take it in the spring!
