The semester is finally over! I can rejoice! Here is my final project for my Web Design II class, if you're interested.
I have to say, I don't actually have much to say! Still trying to figure out what's going on with my Financial Aid for the 2011- 2012 semester. I only have 1 more class left to take for my Web Design Certificate. I think I want to throw in an Advanced Grammar class as well. I am "dual enrolled" as a Liberal Arts major and my Certificate so it would work under financial aid. I have to admit, the reason I am interested in the grammar class is because I love to write and I believe true writers are born with the ability to write; no "creative writing" classes are necessary. I feel like those are either "throw away" classes for people looking to kill time or for those with minimal talent looking for some kind of praise. Someone who was born with the ability to tell a good tale (or write non- fiction in a way that makes it interesting) really only needs to take grammar classes once they've passed through lower- level education (in the US we call it elementary school, junior high or middle school and high school) because a good writer has an excellent grasp on the technical side of writing. Have you ever read Harry Potter? I'm sure you have (if you haven't, you have no business knowing me) but have you noticed not only what a fantastical imagination Rowling has but also what excellent grasp she has on the technical side of writing? Her ability to maneuver sentence structures around and make even "boring" dialogue interesting is a result of this excellent grasp on grammar.
So, with that little tirade, I am off to look to see if the class I want to take is offered this fall. If not, then I suppose I'll have to take it in the spring!

Nearing the end
Oh jeeze, it's been over a month since I last posted! My apologies to my 1 or two readers ;)
So here's an update!
ITE130 - This class is wrapping up fast. I have assignments 13 & 14 & one more exam to complete. All work must be done by May 9th. Most of the assignments have been so freakin' easy it takes me about 15 minutes to complete them. I did have a web page assignment which is posted here (at least at the time of this post; I'm not sure how long the school lets me keep up web sites). Assignment 13 sounds dreadful to me. I have to do a paper that is posted on the internet that is about either education on the internet or internet communications. It's been ages since I've written a paper! And while I love to write, papers are sooo boring. :( The last assignment is a typical easy one. I think I may submit the last one first while I work on #13....
ITD210 - This class is fairly easy but rather time consuming. It typically takes me about 3 days to work through the tutorials and a day or 2 to complete the assignment. I am up to do the assignment for Tutorial 7 out of 8 (there are 9 in the book but I'm not sure why we're not doing it) then I have an exam then a final project. The final project sounds like a fucking nightmare. We have to make a 10- page website (which I'll be sure to post when it's completed) with all these requirements for a certain number of tables, image maps, etc. *shudders* That's going to take me AGES to complete! Thankfully I'm kind of "ahead" in the class because I have until May 30th to finish up the course.
Other than that boring information, I've been going back and forth with the insufferable Financial Aid Office. Ok, I need to submit tax forms. Ok now W2s (why when I submitted tax forms is beyond me). Ok, the tax forms need an actual signature, not a digital one. Ok, now the "Independent Student Verification form" needs an actual signature as well, no digital ones. CHRIST! >:O I suppose it was too much for them to tell me this all at once. Also, every time I ask a question they close my help ticket so I have to START ALL OVER. >:O To be honest, my school is run by a bunch of fucking morons.
On the other side, I'm not too terribly pressed to get my financial aid done ASAP because my last class doesn't start until September (normal semester starts in August).
With that all said, I'm going to be making my Web Design II final project with the mindset of possibly setting up my own website, etc. So, I'll be putting forth my best effort! x_x

Slowly Catching Up
I am slowly catching up with my Web Design II class. I have just submitted my assignment for Tutorial 4. Soon I will be all caught up! I just need to do tutorials 5 & 6 and Exam #1! After that I will be all caught up through March 21st :)
As for my Introduction to Net Services class, I am done through the week of March 28th. Lucky, too because I've been picking up extra shifts at work since my main job closed down and have nearly worked myself to the bone *tired*
I actually don't have anything else to say. I'll be editing the layout for this little place tonight, probably. Not much, just the background image and some little sozai. (Which I just realised as I was typing this, I've lost most of my links due to my lappy dying on me a few weeks ago! Damn! If you have any sozai links, please pass them along!)
