Ajax

I'm having a quiz on Ajax this week. Actually, it's due tomorrow by the end of the day. I'm furiously typing away but I had to share this with you.

I have an innate need to amuse myself whilst doing something mundane. In this assignment, I have to have an address field fill in automatically (Ajax) when a user types in their name. Please the "more" link to see how I'm amusing myself with various names & addresses. I hope you're as amused as I am (●^o^●)

Spring 2011

It's that time of year again! Time to enroll for next semester's classes! As someone who is already enrolled I get to enroll for the next semester about 3 weeks before the rest of the universe. Here are the classes I have left to take for my certificate:

ITE130: Introduction to Internet Services (seems oddly easy???)
ITE170: Multimedia Software
ITN100: Introduction to Telecommunications
ITD210: Web Design II

Woooo... So far I've enrolled in ITE130 & ITD210. I'm thinking about adding an 8- week version of ITN100 as well (pending it doesn't require any special software). ITE170 requires access to Dreamweaver, Fireworks & Flash so I'm thinking about taking that in- person. There's no way I'm paying for all that shit. I'm sure my Financial Aid won't cover it all, either.

47 Days to Go

According to my Target countdown widget for Yahoo!, there are only 47 days left in the semester. I find this rather exciting!

Not a whole lot has gone on lately.

Instead of being 3 weeks behind in my Java class, I am now only 1! I find this thrilling. I owe this to my former co-worker & her husband for helping me with 2 assignments last Sunday & my father in law for helping me last night with one. If it weren't for them, I'd have gotten zeros on those 3 assignments (or maybe 50% since I tried but couldn't get the coding to compile or anything remotely close to that ;).

As for the confusion about my Java class well... November 1st (today) is the last withdraw date. My academic adviser got my it cleared from the dean to use my Java class as a substitute for a very easy 3 credit class. Total bullshit, IMO. I think it should have covered the 2 easiest classes. I mean, if I can pass Java then I definitely know how to use the internet and set up my own folder system on my computer. Sadly, I still have to take one really easy class (waste of time & grant money, IMO).
